AndaSeat has unveiled its Phantom 4 Series, an ergonomic seating platform designed to support natural human movement during various activities such as working, gaming, and reading. The Phantom 4 Series addresses the common reality that people rarely sit in a single position for extended periods. Instead, it provides a seating solution that accommodates shifts in posture and movement, offering consistent support without the need for constant manual adjustments.
A standout feature of the Phantom 4 Series is its Dynamic Auto-Tracking Lumbar system. This system allows users to select their preferred lumbar support from 15 locking positions, spanning a 0–95 mm adjustment range. The lumbar structure can swivel approximately 5 degrees to either side and tilt through a 25-degree forward-and-back range, ensuring continuous support as the user moves.
Both the Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 Pro models incorporate a 55 kg/m³ cold-cure foam seat for a stable base, with the capability to recline backrests up to 135 degrees and rock around 15 degrees. These features allow users to change their overall seating position deliberately, enhancing comfort during long periods of sitting.
The Phantom 4 and Phantom 4 Pro offer different levels of manual adjustment. The Phantom 4 includes 2D armrests with forward-back and vertical adjustments, an adjustable memory-foam head pillow, and a butterfly tilt mechanism. The Phantom 4 Pro goes further by adding 3D 360-degree rotating armrests, broader adjustment ranges, and a multi-function tilt mechanism with tilt-lock functionality.
AndaSeat’s design philosophy emphasizes that responsive seating should not control every movement but rather provide a stable foundation with adaptable components. This approach aims to mirror how people naturally sit, avoiding the assumption that users will maintain a fixed posture throughout their activities.
The Phantom 4 Series, therefore, focuses on balancing stability, user-controlled adjustment, and mechanical responsiveness, catering to the dynamic ways people engage with their seating environments.
