Rhombus Introduces Cloud-Managed Single-Door Controller for Enhanced Access Control

Date:

Rhombus has introduced the DC10 Single-Door Controller, a cloud-managed solution engineered for enterprise-grade access control and sensor connectivity in single-door environments. This compact controller is designed to connect individual doors directly to Rhombus’s cloud-based platform, offering features like remote door management, lockdown capabilities, and integration with various smart sensors.

The DC10 is versatile in its installation options due to its compact design, making it suitable for offices, retail stores, restaurants, gyms, and isolated entrances where a multi-door controller might not be practical. It includes one wet/dry relay, one dry auxiliary relay, and four supervised or unsupervised inputs for functions such as request-to-exit and door position monitoring. Its IK08-rated, plenum-mountable design allows it to be installed near protected doors, including above drop ceilings and in tight spaces.

Supporting 90 W PoE++ and PoE passthrough, the DC10 can deliver power and connectivity through a single cable and also support a nearby camera. The controller is equipped with built-in connectivity for Rhombus environmental, intrusion, and motion sensors, along with panic buttons, offering a line-of-sight range of up to 100 meters.

The device is designed with Ethernet and Wi-Fi connectivity, enabling it to maintain cloud access and allowing operators to manage doors remotely without the need for an on-site server. This solution aims to expand cloud-based access control to smaller or distributed locations while simplifying installation and infrastructure requirements.
