SACRAMENTO, California—Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and LiCAP Technologies, Inc. have announced the formalization of a strategic alliance aimed at accelerating advancements in electric vehicle battery manufacturing. Central to this partnership is the adoption of LiCAP’s proprietary dry electrode technology—a process that removes volatile organic compounds and other hazardous substances commonly used in traditional production.

This initiative reinforces Nissan’s long-term sustainability vision, with a focus on enhancing manufacturing efficiency, reducing environmental impact, and establishing new benchmarks for high-performance energy storage systems.

“This collaboration marks an important step toward the next generation of clean battery technologies,” said Dr. Linda Zhong, CEO of LiCAP Technologies. “By leveraging our combined expertise, we are prepared to deliver meaningful, scalable solutions for the automotive and broader energy sectors.”
